Dell 5100 5110 High Voltage Power Supply

Removing and Replacing the HVPS

1. Before removing the HVPS:

  • Disconnect the A/C power cable from the back of the system.
  • Rotate open the imaging drum cover.
  • Remove the top cover.
  • Remove the toner cartridges.
  • Remove the top cover frame.
  • Remove the left side cover.
2. Locate the two HVPS power cables.

Locate the two HVPS power cables.

3. Disconnect the cables.

Disconnect the cables.

4. Remove the 5 screws securing the HVPS to the chassis.

Remove the 5 screws securing the HVPS to the chassis.

5. Press the tabs to release the HVPS from the side of the chassis.

Press the tabs to release the HVPS from the side of the chassis.

6. Rotate the top of the HVPS outward slightly, and then disconnect the cable.

Rotate the top of the HVPS outward slightly, and then disconnect the cable.

7. Remove the HVPS from the side of the chassis.

Remove the HVPS from the side of the chassis.

8. Reverse the previous steps to replace the HVPS.
